Home WiFi & Network Installation

WiFi that works everywhere in the house
We design and install home networks with properly positioned wireless access points and wired connections where they matter, so that streaming, video calls and smart home systems work reliably in every room.
What we install
- Whole-home WiFi using ceiling or wall-mounted access points
- Wired data points for TVs, offices and equipment that need a solid connection
- Structured cabling during new builds and renovations
- Network equipment racks that keep everything tidy and accessible
- Coverage for gardens, garages and outbuildings
- Secure network setup to protect your devices and data
How it works
- Consultation. We look at the property, where coverage is poor and what you use the network for.
- Design. We plan access point positions and cabling routes.
- Installation. Cabling, access points and network equipment are installed and configured.
- Testing. We check coverage and performance around the property before handover.
A solid network is the foundation of every smart home system we install. For business premises, see data cabling and business WiFi. To improve your WiFi, book a free consultation.
Who home networking is for
Larger and older homes
Thick walls, long layouts and extensions are the usual causes of poor WiFi. Properly placed access points give even coverage throughout.
People working from home
Video calls and cloud software need a stable connection. A wired point at the desk and strong WiFi in the office make a real difference.
New builds and smart homes
Every connected system in the house depends on the network, so we design it at the start alongside the other cabling.
What makes home WiFi reliable
Access points, not extenders
Plug-in extenders repeat a weak signal. Ceiling or wall-mounted access points, each cabled back to the router, deliver a strong signal exactly where it is needed.
Wired where it matters
TVs, desktop computers, games consoles and equipment racks work best on a cable, which also frees up WiFi for phones, tablets and laptops.
Cable during building work
Data cable is inexpensive to install while walls and ceilings are open, and much more disruptive to add afterwards.
Security and guests
We set the network up securely and can provide a separate guest network, so visitors can get online without access to your own devices.
What affects the cost?
Every project is different, so we quote each one individually after a free consultation. The main things that affect the cost of home wifi and network installation are:
- The size and construction of the property
- The number of access points needed for full coverage
- How easy it is to run cabling
- The number of wired data points
- Coverage for gardens, garages and outbuildings
We are happy to design to a budget and to phase a project so that it can be completed in stages. Book a free consultation to get started.

Home WiFi & Networking FAQs
Why is my WiFi poor in some rooms?
A single router often cannot reach the whole house, especially through thick walls or into extensions. Additional access points connected by cable give consistent coverage.
Is a wired network better than mesh WiFi?
Access points connected by cable are generally faster and more reliable than wireless mesh systems, because each one has a dedicated connection back to the network.
Can you extend WiFi to a garden room or outbuilding?
Yes. We can extend the network to gardens, garages and outbuildings.
Do I need a good network for a smart home?
Yes. Smart home, streaming and security systems all depend on a reliable network, which is why we design the network as part of every project.
Do I need to change my broadband provider?
No. We work with your existing broadband connection and improve how it is distributed around the house.
Will better WiFi make my internet faster?
It will not increase the speed coming into the house, but it will make sure the speed you are paying for reaches every room.
Can I have a separate network for guests?
Yes. A guest network lets visitors get online without giving them access to your own devices.
