Multi-Room Audio & TV Installation

Music and TV throughout your home
We design systems that suit the house: in-ceiling and in-wall speakers where you want them hidden, on-wall or freestanding speakers where sound quality matters most, and one simple way to control it all.

What we install
- In-ceiling and in-wall speakers, including invisible plaster-in speakers
- On-wall and Hi-Fi speakers for main listening rooms
- Streaming from the services you already use
- TV and video distribution so sources can be shared between rooms
- Wall-mounted TVs with hidden cabling
- Integration of existing Hi-Fi equipment where you have systems you want to keep
How it works
- Consultation. We ask which rooms you want music and TV in and how you listen.
- Design. We choose speaker types and positions for each room and plan the cabling.
- Installation. Speakers, screens and central equipment are installed and tested.
- Handover. We set up your streaming services and show you how to use the system.
In our Weirside Place project in Exeter we combined new speakers with the client’s existing Hi-Fi systems. Multi-room audio also works well as part of a smart home system. To get started, book a free consultation.
Who multi-room audio is for
New builds and renovations
With ceilings and walls open, speaker cable can be run to every room and speakers fitted flush or made completely invisible.
Existing homes
There are good options that need little or no new cabling, so you can add music to the rooms you use most without redecorating.
Music lovers with Hi-Fi
If you already own equipment you love, it can often become part of the system so it can be heard and controlled around the house.
Choosing the right system
Which rooms?
Most people start with the kitchen, living areas and main bedroom, then add bathrooms and other rooms. Each room, or group of rooms, becomes its own zone with its own volume and source.
Speaker types
In-ceiling speakers suit most rooms. In-wall and on-wall speakers give better sound for serious listening, and plaster-in speakers disappear entirely once the wall or ceiling is finished.
Music and TV sources
Streaming services, radio, TV sound and your own music collection can all be played in any zone. TV and video sources can be shared between screens too.
Control
Music can be controlled from a wall keypad, a remote, a touchscreen or your phone, and included in scenes alongside lighting.
What affects the cost?
Every project is different, so we quote each one individually after a free consultation. The main things that affect the cost of multi-room audio and tv installation are:
- The number of rooms or zones
- The type of speakers, with invisible speakers taking more work to install
- Whether the system is wired or wireless
- Whether TV and video are distributed as well as audio
- How much existing equipment is being integrated
We are happy to design to a budget and to phase a project so that it can be completed in stages. Book a free consultation to get started.

Multi-Room Audio & TV FAQs
What is multi-room audio?
It is a system that plays music in several rooms from shared sources. Each room can play something different, or rooms can be grouped to play the same music.
Can I keep my existing Hi-Fi or speakers?
Often, yes. Existing Hi-Fi equipment can frequently be integrated into a multi-room system rather than replaced.
Can multi-room audio be fitted without rewiring the house?
Wired systems are the most reliable and are best installed during building work, but there are good options for existing homes with little or no new cabling.
Can speakers be hidden?
Yes. In-ceiling and in-wall speakers sit flush, and plaster-in speakers are completely invisible once the wall or ceiling is finished.
How many rooms can have music?
As many as you like. Systems can start with a few rooms and be extended later.
Which streaming services can I use?
Most popular music streaming services and internet radio can be used. We will confirm that your preferred services are supported when we design the system.
Will ceiling speakers disturb other rooms?
Each zone has its own volume control, and speaker positions are planned to keep sound where you want it. Where rooms sit below bedrooms, speakers can be fitted with back boxes to reduce the sound passing through the ceiling.
