Getting a TV installation right
Height and position
The centre of the screen should be close to eye level when seated. We help you choose a position that is comfortable to watch.
Choosing the mount
Fixed, tilting and full-motion mounts each suit different rooms. We recommend the right one for your TV and wall.
Hiding cables
Cables can usually be hidden in plasterboard walls. On solid walls we plan the neatest possible route.
Sound
TV speakers are limited. A soundbar or discreet surround speakers make a big difference to films and sport.
How it works
- Tell us about the job. The TV size, the wall and what you want connected.
- Installation. We mount the TV, run and hide the cables and connect your equipment.
- Setup. We set up the TV, apps and remote so everything works.
- Handover. We show you how it all works before we leave.
For full cinema rooms see home cinema installation, and for TV and music in every room see multi-room audio and TV.

What affects the cost?
Every job is different, so we quote individually. The main things that affect the cost are:
- The size of the TV and the type of mount
- The wall construction and how the cables are hidden
- Whether a soundbar or surround system is being installed
- The number of devices to connect and set up
- The number of TVs or rooms

Can you hide the cables?
In most cases, yes. Cables can be run inside plasterboard walls. On solid walls we can chase them in or use a neat surface route.

Often, yes, but it depends on the height and the heat from the fire. We will advise whether it is a good position for comfortable viewing.

Can you set up my smart TV and streaming apps?
Yes. We set up the TV, streaming apps, soundbar and connected devices so everything is ready to use.
