WiFi Engineer in Exeter & Devon

WiFi problems fixed at the source
As local WiFi engineers, we visit, test the signal around the property, work out what is causing the problem and put in a proper fix, whether that is reconfiguring what you already have, adding access points or running new cable. We do this for homes, home offices, shops, offices, holiday lets and commercial premises.

Who we help
Homes
Dead spots upstairs, no signal in the extension or garden room, buffering TVs and video calls that drop. We get WiFi working in every room.
Home workers
A stable connection for video calls and remote working, with a wired point at the desk and reliable WiFi in the office.
Businesses
Offices, shops, cafés, holiday lets and commercial premises where staff, card machines and guests all depend on the WiFi.
Common WiFi problems we fix
- Dead spots and rooms with little or no signal
- WiFi that drops or keeps disconnecting
- Slow speeds despite a good broadband package
- Mesh systems and extenders that are not performing
- No coverage in extensions, garden rooms, garages and outbuildings
- Business networks struggling with lots of users
- Guest WiFi that needs separating from your own devices
- Smart home devices dropping off the network
How we diagnose WiFi problems
Signal survey
We measure signal strength and quality around the property to see exactly where coverage drops away and why.
Interference and channels
Neighbouring networks and other equipment can crowd the airwaves. We check channels and settings and adjust them where needed.
Access points, not extenders
Extenders repeat a weak signal. Access points cabled back to the router give a strong, consistent signal where you need it.
Wired where it matters
TVs, desktops, games consoles and work computers perform best on a cable, which also frees up WiFi for phones and laptops.
How a WiFi call-out works
- Tell us the problem. Where the WiFi is poor, what you use it for and what you have already tried.
- Site visit and survey. We test the WiFi around the property and look at your existing equipment.
- Recommendation. We explain what is causing the problem and the options to fix it.
- The fix. We reconfigure, add access points or install cabling, then retest around the property.
- Support. We remain on hand if anything changes or you add more devices.
For new installations see home WiFi and network installation and data cabling and business WiFi.

What affects the cost?
Every job is different, so we quote individually. The main things that affect the cost are:
- The size and construction of the property
- How many access points are needed
- Whether new cabling is required and how easy it is to run
- Coverage for gardens, outbuildings or multiple buildings
- Whether existing equipment can be reused

Frequently asked questions
Why is my WiFi slow when my broadband is fast?
The speed reaching your router is often fine. The problem is usually getting that speed around the property, because of distance, walls, interference or a router that cannot cope with many devices.
Do you fix WiFi for businesses as well as homes?
Yes. We fix WiFi in offices, shops, cafés, holiday lets and other commercial premises as well as private homes.
Will I need to change my broadband provider?
Usually not. We work with your existing connection and improve how it is distributed around the property.
Are mesh systems a good fix?
Mesh can help in some homes, but access points connected by cable are generally faster and more reliable. We recommend whichever suits the property.
Can you get WiFi to my garden room or outbuilding?
Yes. We can extend the network using cable, outdoor access points or point-to-point wireless links.
Do you cover my area?
We are based in Topsham, Exeter, and cover Exeter, East Devon and the wider Devon area. Get in touch and we will confirm.
